Fall has officially begun and I’m thrilled and you know why! If you’re new to Aviana World you will learn quickly of my obsession with dark red wines! They truly do something for me that a white wine doesn’t. So, with that said, this weeks review is on Acronym Red Blend.
This is my first time having this wine and as usual I love trying anything new. Also really quick don’t forget to check out the live wine tasting I do every Saturday on my Facebook page @Aviana World. So, getting into the wine and what I think, first I will say I did enjoy the wine, however it won’t be one of my favorites.
The taste is firm and robust, the way I like a dark wine. But, I couldn’t figure out the flavor profile on this one. It didn’t have chocolate notes or floral, or oaky, or anything I could readily identify! It perplexed me and not in the good kind of way. I guess in essence I felt, the flavor was a little flat and didn’t speak to or hold my attention. I did however enjoy indulging it in the bath! It is a great relaxation wine, as it warms you up from the inside out!
The good news is 2 things. 1. The price was excellent at my local grocery store (Kroger) on sale for $4.99, which is a great price, but of course you can’t expect much from a wine in this price range. So far I’ve only found a handful under $20 that wowed me! Check out my post on one of my favorite cheap wines HERE! 2. I will be giving this wine another chance on my vlog on Facebook. So, don’t forget to check that out on Saturday’s. I may have a difference of opinion at that time. I also usually will try a couple different vintages on live wine tastings, so that’s the bonus of watching!
It seems if you want to get a hold of this wine, you’ll have to snag it from your local grocer, as they do not have an online purchase option unless you purchase from a third party wine club, that only carries 1 wine choice. But, if you’d like to see all of the vintages that Acronym carries you can visit their website HERE.
Overall I will give Acronym Red Blend a 5 out of 10. Potentially I could change my mind! Until next week, I will see you on Wine Crushd Live on Facebook and next Wednesday for the next review. As always, comment, like, subscribe, and enjoy!
